Sul-Ree was a Jedi Knight during the days of the Clone Wars until Order 66 was issued by Palpatine. Sul-Ree’s clones quickly turned on him and his padawan Cel Ghandis (a young female Twi’lek). Sul-Ree managed to escape but not before they gunned down his young padawan.
Sul-Ree managed to hide from the Empire for many decades, but the damage was already done to his psyche. Sul-Ree was grief-stricken and blamed himself for not protecting his padawan from the clone onslaught. Sul-Ree believed he should have detected a disturbance within his clones and prevented them from ambushing himself and Cel. Sul-Ree started his decent into madness and drifted towards the Dark Side of the Force.
Sul-Ree was crazed from his experiences, but since his defeat at the hands of the new inhabitants of the Enclave, he has become a bit more docile since he was convinced that “his fight was over”.
Since he has recovered from his last fight, he has began tutoring Del in lessons of the Force seeing that they have much in common, Sul-Ree has quickly bonded with Del as both of the missing puzzle pieces of their lives have been completed since the dark days of the Clone Wars: One who has lost a master, one who has lost a padawn.
Now that Sul-Ree has recovered from his madness thanks in part to his (unofficial) apprentice Del, Sul-Ree has came to his senses and has become an informal Jedi Master. Sul-Ree has also taken a liking to the orphan An-Nee and has begun training her as well.
Despite his recovery from his madness, some of the reconstruction workers still spread rumors that Sul-Ree still mutters to himself once in a while…
